Head of PhD School

All PhD students at DTU Bioengineering have a principal supervisor and at least one co-supervisor. This fosters collaboration across the department and with other departments, and provides the PhD students with access to multiple research environments.

In order to experience another scientific environment, build their own network, and benefit from expertise supplemental to that available at DTU, PhD students a DTU Bioengineering will spend 2-6 months with a foreign research group and/or a company.

We also encourage PhD students to build their own national and international network of collaborating researchers during their project period primarily by attending conferences and presenting their research to an international audience.

The gender balance of the PhD students at DTU Bioengineering is approximately 50/50 of whom approximately 40% are internationally recruited and 60% nationally recruited.
